KONE tells ELEVATOR WORLD it provided four machine-room-less (MRL) elevators for The Pecora, a new 26-story residential tower at 41-08 Crescent Street in Long Island City (LIC), Queens, NY. The MonoSpace® 500 elevators serve a building designed by Dan Ionhescu Architects and developed by Watermark Capital Group. Upon announcing the launch of the affordable housing lottery for the property in March, New York YIMBY reported that an array of amenities are offered: package and bike-storage lockers, a gym, spa, dance studio, party room, children's playroom, business center and rooftop terrace. Units are equipped with washers and dryers, patios or balconies, hardwood floors and brand-name kitchen appliances.
