Hyundai Elevator Installation, a unit of South Korea-headquartered Hyundai Elevator, announced it received International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 45001 certification, the international standard for occupational health and safety (H&S) management, Seoul Economic Daily is among outlets to report. To achieve the certification, Hyundai Elevator Installation aligned its H&S practices across all sites with international standards. The company strengthened safety requirements for potentially hazardous tasks such as working at heights and handling heavy objects. It also established a voluntary accident-prevention system to identify and address potential workplace hazards. Hyundai Elevator Installation plans to continue its H&S improvement efforts as legal requirements rise under laws such as the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
