IGV Group Collaborates To Support Interior Design Students

Italy’s IGV Group recently collaborated with the School of Design at Intituto Marangoni Milano to support students in the Master of Contemporary Design program. Under the artistic direction of architect and designer Carlo Colombo and IGV Art Director Giulio Cappellini, students took on the challenge of designing a lift to fit the style of a proposed residential complex. They were asked to adhere to IGV’s values of technology, innovation and design. Completed projects met clients’ desire that residential spaces be viewed in a contemporary, fluid, social context and take into account aesthetics, innovation and global issues like climate change. Designs presented to IGV Group CEO Michele Suria, Capellini and Colombo were Antithetical Transition by Sevil Efendi, Camila Jalil and Zi Ye and Tropical Cosmopolitan by Kathriena Cazandra, He Yan and Campbell Johnson. IGV said the designs “are captivating for their imaginative power and design elegance conveyed in perfect coherence with the concept.”
