In Memoriam: Darren Budden

Budden

Darren Budden, service director for the southern and northern regions of Dartford, U.K.-headquartered Liftec Express Ltd., has passed away, Liftec Managing Director Maxime YAO announced on LinkedIn. Budden joined Liftec in 2009 and quickly rose through the ranks, earning a series of promotions due to his dedication, leadership, strategic vision and “steadfast commitment to health, safety, quality and ethics,” YAO said. Before joining the elevator industry, Budden served with honor and distinction in the British Army, completing six tours of duty including engagements in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan. He earned the Queen’s Commendation for Bravery in 2004 for his service as regimental sergeant major. YAO asked for thoughts and condolences for Budden’s wife, children, friends and colleagues.
