NAEC QEI Certification Program Receives ANSI/ANAB Certification

The National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) announced on July 25 that its Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certification program received accreditation from the prestigious ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). Launched in 2003, the ANAB personnel certification accreditation program is based on the international standard ISO/IEC 17024:2012 general conformity assessment requirements, and “has helped certification programs make the journey from good to great,” NAEC stated. NAEC Executive Director Rená Cozart thanked John Dodds of Kencor, Inc., for leading the NAEC volunteer taskforce that “made this day possible.” More than 2.5 million professionals worldwide are certified by an ANAB-accredited organization.
