Nidec Subsidiary Announces Launch of New Campus in India

Nidec Motion & Energy India, a subsidiary of the global Nidec Corp., recently announced the commencement of operations at its new, 50-acre facility in North Karnataka, India — The Orchard Hub in Hubli-Dharwad. Strengthening the company’s elevator traction machine business, the new campus is equipped with advanced infrastructure and six business verticals, with the elevator business segment a key focus area. The facility manufactures a comprehensive range of pancake- and barrel-type elevator traction machines for the residential, commercial, hospitality, medical, transit and high-rise markets. Cutting-edge technology includes state-of-the-art robotic welding, fully automatic winding machines and a fully equipped test lab. The campus has an annual capacity of 30,000 machines, and a 180-m-tall test tower is planned in the future.
