Phoenix Modular Elevator Inc. (PME), based in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, announced acquisition of the assets of Midstates Elevator, based in Mishawaka, Indiana. Founded in 1985 by Dennis Gadacz, Midstates continues to operate under its existing name. The company has served northern Indiana for decades, specializing in the installation of residential elevators and commercial platform lifts. Midstates' existing operational structure is being maintained following the transaction, which closed on January 1, coinciding with Gadacz's retirement. Customers can expect continuity in service, personnel and day-to-day operations. PME designs, manufactures and installs modular elevators throughout North America. The company also provides elevator maintenance, repair and modernization in southern Illinois.
