Stannah Lifts Distribution and Service (LD&S) has announced a nationwide charity cycling challenge, bringing together more than 700 colleagues across its Andover, U.K., headquarters and 11 service branches. Together, Stannah is cycling one full lap of Britain – 4,000 mi., the equivalent of 1.28 million lift journeys. The Stannah 4K Ride will begin at the Andover headquarters before traveling to each branch in turn, where colleagues will take turns on an indoor exercise bike. One bike. Twelve locations. One full lap of Britain. Each site has two weeks to complete its mileage target and raise funds for local charities chosen by colleagues, mapping a virtual route around Great Britain and symbolizing the unity of Stannah’s national network. The ride launches during April, International Stress Awareness Month, and will run through to World Mental Health Day in October. As the commercial arm responsible for Stannah’s U.K.-wide lift services, LD&S provides maintenance, repairs, modernization and installation across passenger, platform and goods lifts.
