U.K.'s Complii Acquires Classic Lifts (Scotland) Ltd.

On the heels of announcing the launch of a dedicated lift and escalators compliance division, the U.K.’s Complii, formerly known as Compliance Group, announced the acquisition of Glasgow, Scotland-based Classic Lifts (Scotland) Ltd. Classic Lifts has built a name in the Scottish lift services market for providing high-quality, reliable planned preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, emergency call-outs and modernization/installation services. Complii CEO Sarah Dixon said the acquisition is “about more than expanding Complii’s service lines; it is about welcoming a brilliant group of people into the Group and giving them the platform to do even more.” Dave McColl, formerly Classic Lifts owner, will remain with Complii as executive director, supporting the company’s growth in the lifts and escalators space. Classic Lifts’ previous Operations Director William Coleman will step into the role of Complii managing director. Complii’s new lifts and escalators division complements an existing portfolio of building compliance services that span water, air, fire and electrical compliance.
