Schumacher Elevator Co. celebrated 90 years with a ribbon-cutting and open house for its new, 33,000-ft2 warehouse at its Denver, Iowa, headquarters on June 17. Waverly Newspapers reported the event was hosted by Schumacher CEO Jeff Schumacher, the fourth generation of the family to lead the business, growing the company alongside his father, Marv, to a 200-employee operation that has become a nationally recognized player. Construction on the warehouse, which will primarily support Schumacher's growing wholesale division, took a little longer than anticipated due to the weather, Jeff Schumacher said, but was worth the wait. He thanked Denver Mayor Rod Diercks and City Council members for helping the company mark the milestone and debut the warehouse. "Thank you to our friends, family, vendor partners, contractors, customers and employees past and present," Jeff Schumacher said. "For 90 years, your trust, support and partnership have been the foundation for everything we've accomplished."
