CVU Plans VU Summit Riyadh & Dubai 2026

The Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) plans to host the VU Summit Riyadh & Dubai 2026 on September 21-25, 2026, under the the me “Density and Identity: Shaping Skylines, Elevating Culture. The event will assemble the world’s foremost experts to address a pressing challenge: How can cities grow taller without compromising livability and their unique cultural identity? This challenge is particularly pertinent to the Middle East, where a generational transformation is underway in cities such as Cairo, Egypt; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and Dubai, U.A.E. These cities are being reimagined at an unprecedented rate and scale, accompanied by a deliberate effort to balance rapid modernization with deeply rooted architectural traditions and cultural understandings of space, place and identity.
